Boys and Girls Club of America Mission
To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.
Vision
Provide a world-class Club Experience that assures success is within reach of every young person who enters our doors, with all members on track to graduate from high school with a plan for the future, demonstrating good character and citizenship, and living a healthy lifestyle.
History
Boys & Girls Clubs of America had its beginnings in 1860 with three women in Hartford, Connecticut - Mary Goodwin, Alice Goodwin and Elizabeth Hammersley. Believing that boys who roamed the streets should have a positive alternative, they organized the first Club. With character development as the cornerstone of the experience, the Club focused on capturing boys interests, improving their behavior and increasing their personal expectations and goals. A cause was born.
Fundraising is a critical part of every charitable organization, and the support provided by Gary Blonder and the Palm Beach business community helps the Boys and Girls club meet its annual goals for giving.

Gary Blonder Sponsors American Lung Association of Florida LUNG FORCE Run/Walk

Gary Blonder Promotes Lung Cancer Research

Delray Beach, Florida June 2, 2017

The LUNG FORCE Run/Walk in Jacksonville, Florida is an American Lung Association of Florida fundraiser that supports research, patient programs, and education for the millions of people impacted by diseases of the lungs.   The event increases public awareness and aids in the fight of reducing the terrible toll inflicted by lung cancer and related conditions.  Gary Blonder is supporting and promoting this event to help raise funds that directly support the ALA.

The American Lung Association promotes lung health and prevent lung disease. They conduct vital research on lung disease and lung cancer seeking to find new treatments and eventually cure.  Because this organization works hard to ensure that the donations they receive are used to effectively fight lung cancer and other lung diseases.

By sponsoring events like the Run/Walk, Gary Blonder is joining the American Lung Association’s fight to promote lung health and provide relief to those suffering from lung diseases.   Lung cancer is the number one cancer killer of both men and women in the United States.  The research that the ALA sponsors has greatly improved the way lung cancer is treated. In addition, they are working to improve air quality, eliminate tobacco use and the diseases it causes, and provide the public with education on lung health.
